Because I have so many stories I tend to have a hard time deciding which routes to play… So, rather than making the agonizing decision on my own, I ran a Twitter poll and let you guys decide for me. Unfortunately, that backfired since the poll ended in a tie betweenDiary of a Step SisterandLove Brings You Home,so I still had to choose in the end and I went with the latter. Love Brings You Home is one of the many Otome titles written by Voltage Inc and currently available on the Love 365 app, which is constantly updating with new series and routes even adding old standalone games into it. Taiyo Inami is one of the characters in the series and I managed to take a look at his main story in the past few days being available for free . He always knows exactly what to say, and the sentiments he does share are heartwarming.
He initally was just a stray but hung out at the station a lot and so the staff decided to give him his own hat and collar. He is a rather calm cat but dislikes being told he's gaining weight. He is petty, irritating, irresponsible and has his employees run errands for him; often uses these errands in exchange for something else. However, if one is unable to finish this task, regardless of excuses he will refuse to cooperate. Mr. Kato also overlooks people's hard work and without as much look at it, he dismisses it immediately and chooses something else he likes instead.

Probably one of the stranger aspects these characters have is the more gentlemanly side. Often doing little tasks such as opening doors, taking notice if you’re in a bad situation, or even going out of their way to help you with something small. Never forget the saltiness though, these characters will come after you with a snarky remark.
He chuckles and says you must be a hard worker if you haven't been getting much sleep at night, and to let him know if you ever need help sleeping because he'll cuddle you anytime. Love Choice is the model that new games in Voltage’s “Love 365” app have. Under this model, new stories can be read for free, but you must wait 5 hours between each chapter. Certain choices require hearts to select them, and usually these heart answers are the ones you need in order to get the best ending in the story you are reading.
Taiyo's Route
You present the proposal to Mr. Kato, your manager, who immediately shoots it down and sends you on a petty errand instead to the bookstore. You dream about a kind, handsome man hugging you and waking you up in the morning. Your alarm goes off and you race out of the seaside cottage that used to belong to your grandmother, Midori, before she passed away.
Taiyo is another guy that I would include on my "perfect" boyfriend list. I find myself laughing during his stories because I enjoy the banter and I find it amusing. What's unique about this title as a whole, is that it seems to be one of the fewer older titles that did touch on situations that were more relatable to a more seasoned demographic. I was actually disappointed that it took me so long to find out about it and give it a read! I would definitely encourage others to test it out for themselves and give it a chance, since like you said, it's another one of those titles that deserves more content than it was given.

I can honestly say I’ve had a boss or two just like the one in this game and let me tell you, it really get really stressful dealing with that kind of toxic behavior on a daily basis. So there were moments in the game where Ifelteverything the MC was going through, and that was not something I never would have expected from a Voltage Inc. game. Cold and aloof, you first meet Arata in Megumi's bar Shangri-La where he comes in looking for a specific piano. He previously owned the grand piano your grandmother bought you when you were little, but his parents sold it to a secondhand shop. A mysterious young man who you first meet on the beach near your house.
While the MC is at work Arata is the one who stays home and takes care of the housework—cooking, cleaning, the whole nine yards. But the game takes it a step further, by having Arata also offer emotional support for the MC—he listens to her vent about her frustrations at work and when she needs a reprieve from the life, he plays the piano for her. Like mostkuuderecharacters he’s a bit gruff about it, and he’s not above throwing a little shade as those types of LIs are wont to do, but when it counts he does go out of his way to make her feel better when she’s down. The company was my first introduction to the world of otome games and over the years I have amassed quite a few stories from each of the many,manyOtome Romance titles they produce.
Developed Games
The MC is the same old obnoxiously useless girl, but she does have a few gutsy options later in the story and isn’t so bad I can’t tolerate her. Taiyo is genuinely affectionate as he prepares you breakfast and offers a warm hug first thing in the morning to improve your mood, which has been especially off lately because of how badly things are going at work. As nice as the guy is, due to your current frustration you don’t really want to live with an unknown person around and thus you have all the intentions in the world to make Taiyo leave your place as soon as he can. And yet, his gentle embrace and the sweetest manners you could ever find in a guy are rapidly getting right to your heart, Taiyo’s voice soaked in sadness when he declares to have no place where he truly belongs out there.
If you are wanting to check out Voltage’s titles, and you have a Switch, this usually a more cost effective option due to the amount of stories you get for the price vs buying them in Love 365. Certain games in Love 365 require you to purchase or earn Coins in order to read them. These are almost all older titles that have been grandfather’d in as people had purchased them years prior.
At first I wasn't sure if I was going to end up liking the title at all since the prologue wasn't enough to fully draw in me in, but I really am glad I gave it a chance since it was such a nice read! It's the type of title that isn't too dramatic, yet the plot flows and is engaging to the point where you get drawn in and are eager to witness more of this world you've become lost in. Are all the guys who live with MC going to be secretly famous? If so, then I am definitely wondering about the other two guys. My predictions are that the blonde one who “can draw” is going to be an architect or painter, and I have no idea for the other one haha. But they’re still quite nice and a step up from the older style of some Voltage games.
It’s not that easy though to get stories that perfectly match my tastes and mindset, since the protagonist needs to behave in specific ways in order to feel more like myself. Arata Yuki is a famous pianist who was forced to take a break from the music industry after he was involved in an assault . Unable to play the piano he loves, Arata decides to find his childhood piano in hopes of recapturing the spark that made him fall in love with music in the first place. His search leads him straight to the MC doorstep—her late grandmother bought the piano for her when she was a child—and Arata insists that she let him stay in her house so he can make use of the instrument.
Issociative amnesia sounds more like a possibility, unless I missed something important from the story while playing. The shock on Taiyo’s face upon seeing himself on TV doesn’t go unnoticed and the man wonders out loud if he got any lost twin he didn’t know about somewhere in Japan. You accidentally walk on Taiyo in the bathroom one day as he wears a pair of sweatpants and a towel around his neck. Ignoring your initial embarassment for the awkward situation, you are immediatly captivated by the three dark moles on the back of his right shoulder, perfectly lined in a constellation shape.
Confusion washes over you when he says you want to lean on someone because you’ve worked way too hard all by yourself, fingers smoothing your hair behind your ear tenderly. After a moment of hesitation you rush away from him when he opens his arms to you, stating he’ll be there to make you feel better and get rid of your sadness with a healthy hug. Each prologue also introduces all the male characters that have their own route in different circumstances, Taiyo is the very last one introduced at the end of the prologue before the game prompts you to choose the route you want to follow. All you want is for someone to recognize your hard work and be there for you.
Now, right about now you’re probably waiting for me to get to the “cringe-y” bits trust me I’m getting there. So, I didn’t like the way the writers introduced the whole living together scenario. Like I mentioned, a prowler breaks into the MC’s house and Arata breaks in to save her and she is so grateful for his help that she offers to let him live in her guest house so he can be close to the piano.
You live alone in your late grandmother’s seaside house in Gokurakuji. Up to this point it’s literally impossible for you to send the poor thing away, so you decide to let him stay in the guest cottage built into the backyard. The MC in this game is one of my favorite Voltage Inc. heroines because she is just so relatable. We’ve all at some point or another had to deal with crappy bosses and jobs and feelings of worthlessness.
